The Godwin Mercado Farmers Market kicks off its inaugural season this Sunday, May 3, and Layer by Layer Creation will be there all summer long!
Wyoming’s New Community Market
Presented by University of Michigan Health-West, the Godwin Mercado Farmers Market brings fresh produce, artisan goods, and community connection to the Godwin Heights neighborhood. The market runs Sundays from 9 AM to 2 PM, May 3 through October 25 at 301 36th St. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
Grand Opening — Sunday, May 3
The opening day is packed with family-friendly activities:
- Farmers market bingo — play and win
- Yard games for all ages
- Grand Rapids Children’s Museum’s Kids Can! Van
- Free blood pressure checks from UM Health-West
- Food trucks including Casa de los Abuelos (tacos, pupusas, burritos), PizzaMI, and Runyon Roasts

Casa de los Abuelos will also be on-site as a seasonal food truck serving tacos, pupusas, burritos, quesadillas, and asada fries all season long.
